Mr. Spectral Big Boss Man, sir? I sincerely doubt that anyone's gonna argue against you on American Beauty.

The best thing I can think of to refute that would maybe be Garcia's first solo album. I just picked it up for the first time this week and it smokes like a mofo. But it probably doesn't fall within the purvue of this thread.

Nope. No solos!

I like Jerry's first release--though I could manage without eep hour, etc.But it lacks the multiple flavors that only the Dead could bring to the table. I always wished that were a Dead l.p or that those tunes had made up Skullfuck.

But Jerry had to come up with money to by a house for himself and Mountain Girl.

BTW, Greatest and Playing from "Ace" are pretty amazing too--and those are with the full band!
